Project    OICA Phase 2 (Improving children’s access to educatio strengthened education, water and sanitation, and child p services in the East Region of Cameroon)    through otection
Duty Station    Batouri, East Region, Cameroon.    
Coverage Area    Batouri and Ngoura Subdivisions (Kadey Division)    
Under the supervision    Assistant Program Manager    
Contract type    Fixed term contract (CDD)    
Contract duration    I year (renewable based on performance evaluations and availability of funds)

I. Project context   

The KOICA Phase Il project, funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KO CA) and implemented in partnership with UNICEF and other stakeholders, aims to strengthen 10 governance systems and improve access to essential services for vulnerable populations.
The project focuses on enhancing education, child protection, WASH services and social services in the East Region of Cameroon, particularl in Lom and Djerem and Kadey Divisions.
Within this framework, Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is recruiting a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant to support the monitoring and reporting of project activities.
2.    Purpose of the role
Working in 51 countries across the world, GNCMR aims to reach marginalized children and communities through high-quality programs that   offer sustainable benefits and increased
 
livelihoods. The M&E Assistant is responsible for establishing and maintaining the « data-driven » culture of the project. The primary purpose of this role is to track the progress of project indicators spanning Child Protection, Education, and WASH- to ensure that GNCMR remains accountable to UNICEF and the beneficiary communities. By providing real-time data and evidence from the field, the M&E Assistant ensures that project activities are achieving their intended impact and that any challenges are identified and addressed promptly
3.    Kev Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Monitoring
     Support the collection of quantitative and qualitative data from project activities.
     Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation.

Ensure data collection tools are properly used by field teams.
Data Quality Assurance     
     Verify the accuracy and completeness of collected data.
     Support the validation and cleaning of datasets before analysis.
Data Management and Analysis     
     Maintain project databases and monitoring systems.
     Assist in analyzing project data to track performance indicators.      Support the preparation of data summaries and dashboards.
Reporting     
     Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
     Document lessons learned and best practices from project activities.
Accountability and Learning     
     Support beneficiary feedback and complaint mechanisms.
     Assist in organizing monitoring missions, evaluations and learning activities.
4.    Required Oualifications     
     Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
     Minimum 3 years of professional ex erience in monitoring and evaluation or data management.     
     Experience working in humanitarian or development programs.
     Familiarity with results-based management and project monitoring systems.   Proficiency in mobile data collection tools (Kobo Toolbox, ODK) and advanced MS Excel (for data cleaning and analysis).

Good computer skills (Microsoft Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)
  Experience in tracking indicators for integrated projects, with a solid understanding of how to monitor outcomes acros WASH, Education, and Child Protection activities simultaneously.
     Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative surveys (KIIs, FGDs, and observation).
     Experience working in a similar context or with similar stakeholders (government, communities, etc.)
Required Skills
     Good interpersonal, communication, networking and coordination skills
     Commitment to child protection, gender equality and participation
     Positive team player with a great attitude
     Adherence to strict ethical standards in data collection and management, particularly when dealing with sensitive child protection data.
     Fluency in French and working knowledge of English. Knowledge of local language(s) of the duty station is an asset.
5.    Constitution of files•
