| Engineering Lecturer The Technical School of Mines is currently searching for a full-time lecturer in its Engineering Department. This role will include a four to five course teaching load during the Fall-Spring semester. Position Title: 01 Mathematics & Physics Lecturer Location: MOMGOMO (Equatorial Guinea) Type of Contract: Contract of Specified Duration (This position will be a 9-months academic appointment with an anticipated start date of October 15, 2021) Mission: Provides effective and proactive teaching and learning to students participating in the mathematics / physics course ensuring that lessons are based on clear learning objectives and that all students make progress. - Promote student learning and be accountable for student progress and development within the mathematics & physics course.
- Raise standards of student attainment, attitudes to learning and achievement
- Undertake teaching duties in accordance to the Engineering Department's schemes of work and the defined curriculum
- Plan and deliver lessons and laboratory activities,
- Promote and maintain high professional standards within the classroom and support the objectives and ethics of The Engineering Department
Qualifications The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching. Excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate level; Diploma: MSc. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics is required. Other degrees are acceptable only with relevant and significant industry experience; Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience from the Engineering curriculum. Skills: Specialized background in Engineering, including - Mathematics - Physics - Rock mechanics, - Mine ventilation, - Environmental remediation, - Mineral processing, - Operations research Soft skills: - Ability to work under pressure,
