Poste proposé : Software Engineering Interns - Remote
We are currently seeking to hire enthusiastic Software Engineering Interns for a four-month contract, with potential for a full-time position upon successful completion.
Responsibilities :
- Code Development: Assist in writing, testing, and maintaining code for software applications under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Bug Fixing: Identify and fix bugs in existing software, contributing to the overall quality and functionality of the product.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for code, processes, and systems to ensure clarity and ease of understanding for future reference.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand project requirements and contribute to discussions.
- Learning and Development: Engage in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge of industry best practices.
- Testing: Participate in the testing process, including unit testing and integration testing, to ensure software meets specified requirements.
- Version Control: Use version control systems (such as Git) to manage code changes and collaborate effectively with the development team.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on new technologies and tools that can improve development processes or enhance product features.
- Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to learn from feedback and improve coding practices and standards.
- Project Participation: Contribute to team projects by completing assigned tasks, meeting deadlines, and actively participating in team meetings.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Software Engineering Interns - Remote
- Passionate about AI/NLP and its applications in software solutions.
- Experience with coding in Python.
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of machine learning frameworks (e.g. Colab, HuggingFace, Nemo, etc).
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and principles.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural team environment.
Bonus:
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Interest in languages, linguistics, or related fields.
- Gone through the process of learning another language or a similar skill.
- Enjoys learning about languages.
- Proficiency in one or more African languages.
