Poste proposé : Environmental and Social Expert (EES) - Maroua
We are looking for an Environmental and Social Expert (EES).
Job Summary:
The Environmental and Social Expert ensures that the rural electrification project complies with all environmental and social standards. He/she oversees ESIA, compensation, gender, and GBV action plans, and ensures community engagement and sustainable implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).
- Implement and monitor compensation and mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, gender, and GBV policies.
- Monitor and report on environmental and social performance.
- Engage with local communities and manage grievances.
- Support project management in environmental and social planning.
Profil recherché pour le poste : Environmental and Social Expert (EES) - Maroua
Experience Required:
- 10 years overall, including at least 5 years in similar rural electrification projects
Qualification:
- Bac +4 Diploma in Environmental or Social Sciences or equivalent
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven experience in environmental and social management for infrastructure or electrification projects.
- Knowledge of ESIA procedures and international standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Capacity to coordinate with multiple stakeholders (communities, clients, and authorities).
