Assistant Sanctuary Manager, Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue, Cameroon
Sanaga-Yong Chimpanzee Rescue (www.sychimprescue.org) seeks a compassionate person with a strong work ethic to serve as Assistant Manager for our chimpanzee sanctuary in rural Cameroon.

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
- Assisting sanctuary Co-Managers with daily operations at the sanctuary
- Working with managers, veterinarians, caregivers, and volunteers to ensure the best care possible
- for resident chimpanzees – tasks include helping with food prep/feedings, giving medication,
- facility maintenance, shopping for supplies
- Keeping track of daily expense on an excel spreadsheet
- Calculating monthly salaries, which are computerized
- Taking videos/photos of the chimpanzees and providing weekly stories for social media postings
- done by US staff
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- Fluency in English, spoken and written - required
- Good conversational French - required
- Strong computer experience: MS Excel, Word - required
- Proven math/accounting skills - required
- Good attention to detail - required
- Strong interest in chimpanzees and conservation - required
- Previous residency in developing country - preferred
- Experience in photography/videography and social media – preferred
