Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Mission of the Department
In a spirit of excellence, integrity, and dedication, the Finance Department is committed to providing timely, accurate, clear and complete information, and support for Conservation Department’s overall goals to be achieved by the Cameroon Country Office (CCO).
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Contribute to making sure that all financial transactions are carried out and recorded in accordance with WWF standard financial procedures and in adherence with donor’s requirements.
- Reception, verification and validation of accounting documents.
- Prepare all requests for payments and ensure proper justification of expenses if necessary.
- Contribute to all external and internal audits with auditors concerned.
- Contribute to the preparation of interim and financial reports for donors and check the consistency with narrative reports.
- Contribute to following up the report’s submission by the program administrators/ PFA.
- Contribute to follow up the global projects’ dashboard.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting/finance or a related field is required.
- At least one (1) year of professional experience in financial accounting.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, particularly advanced level in MS excel is required.
- Experience in using ERP system is highly desirable.
- Required Skills and Competencies
- Some knowledge in the area listed below is required at the entry level, developing knowledge is required at the intermediate level, considerable knowledge is required at the experienced level and thorough knowledge is required at the advanced level.
- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping terminology and practices.
- Knowledge of automated accounting systems.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets and database software.
- Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems.
- Ability to understand and apply current accounting guidelines.
- Avoir une bonne maitrise d’Excel.
- Être intuitif et à l’écoute des instructions données.
- High ethics and a personal commitment to transparency and accountability.
