Description
Under the close supervision of the People and Culture Officer and the general guidance of the People and Culture Manager, provides administrative, procedural and operational support and assistance to the efficient implementation of a broad range of Human Resources functions for all categories of staff in his/her office, ensuring accurate and timely delivery that is in compliance with UNICEF HR rules and regulations. As HR generalist, will support HR business partnering (including recruitment activities), process HR transactions and take the lead in HR data quality, analytics and reporting.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
  • Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university courses related to the work of the organization
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible human resources, administrative or clerical work experience required. Note: For this position, a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized academic institution in a relevant field may replace three years of related work experience. A relevant Master’s Degree may replace additional two years.
  • Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • In addition, candidates will be expected to have a track record of satisfactory performance and strong experience in HR services and systems, be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and have a flexible nature to adapt to changing circumstances while ensuring confidentiality in all aspects of the services.
