JOB ADVERT : Human Resources Officer

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Human Resources Officer who will contribute to our success by overseeing human resources functions and fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with management to understand staffing needs and contribute to talent acquisition strategies, ensuring HR initiatives align with company goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating offers.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires, providing necessary resources and information to integrate them into the organization.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance and understanding.
  • Support employee performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance appraisals, and feedback sessions.
  • Assist in designing and delivering training and development programs to enhance employee skills and professional growth.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and activities.
  • Support the offboarding process for departing employees, conducting exit interviews and handling necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and attendance records, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Provide HR support to related companies, as needed, ensuring consistency in policies and procedures.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics to provide insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a preference for experience in small or growing organizations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools for recruitment, performance management, and record-keeping.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when needed.
  • Full proficiency in English and French.
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations, mediate conflicts, and resolve employee concerns.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support the needs of a growing organization.
