Are you ready to get your hands dirty (in the best way possible)? River Cleanup Cameroon (RCCam) is on a mission to clean the Wouri River, and we’re looking for a proactive and organized Operations Officer (OO) to join our dynamic team. You have up to 3 years of experience, this is your chance to build your skills while making a tangible environmental impact. We’re not looking for someone classic – we want someone who can keep things moving, fix what’s broken, and bring his/her energy to every cleanup action!

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
What will be your key responsibilities
- Preventive collection: Deploy accessible waste collection systems in schools and communities to stop plastic waste before it reaches nature.
- Waste handling: Manage waste collection from schools and within communities including during cleanup events, transport it to RCCam’s site, and ensure proper handling on-site.
- Materials maintenance: Keep all collection tools, vehicles, and equipment in top condition. No broken tools on your watch!
- Event materials management: Be the go-to person for cleanup materials—before, during, and after events—ensuring everything is in good condition.
- Supervise cleanup crews: Work with the Community Engagement Officer and Country Lead to plan weekly cleanups and manage team deployment.
- Report progress: Keep the Country Lead informed on activities, challenges, and upcoming needs.
