ECOBANK Cameroun S.A. is recruiting a Trade Finance Products Manager, CEMAC, ready to work across the national territory. The position is based in Douala.

I. JOBPURPOSE


✔ Overall responsibility for trade revenue growth, assets and market share growth for the trade business in Cameroon and the CEMAC Region
✔ To Identify and develop trade opportunities for traditional and non-traditional structured trade finance productsincludingcommodityandexportfinancetopositionEcobankasthepreferred trade finance bank in Cameroun and the CEMAC region
✔ Develop, maintain and review Trade Product Programs for effective use and marketing advantage while ensuring that it is in line with and supports Ecobanks’s broader strategy.
✔ To ensure a strategic and co-ordinated product development & sales focus, servicing the Trade product needs of both existing and new business clients as well as the reporting of all trade activities to relevant stakeholders.


II. KEY RESPONSABILITIES
SALES AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT


● Ensures that the processes, structures, systems and resources required to effectively service existing clients and develop new clients are in place and continuously reviewed using SLA’s, thereby contributing positively to the efficiency and profitability of Ecobank Cameroun products segment.


● Originate, structure and close trade deals against customer opportunities sourced either directly or jointly with Relationship Managers (LAMs, RAMs, GAMs) both for Commercial and Corporate Bank clients


● Develop a Trade Customer Target Market list for each affiliate in the of the CEMAC Region and wallet size to better understand the flows, players, volumes, and trade corridors and execute marketing initiatives towards improving trade numbers both from a volume perspective and from a p&l standpoint


● Responsible for launching Product Programs (aligned to Group Trade’s) for specific trade solutions


● Engage in risk approvals for trade deals and provide risk management of trade portfolio and structured solutions to mitigate risk


● Views day-to-day decisions, relationships and operations in terms of the bigger picture, keeping the overall/long term strategic objectives of International Trade Finance and Services in mind.


● Develop a client development and retention plan for every existing client, using the banks tool to optimise our cross-selling and deep selling opportunities with the client.

● Co-ordination and formulation of a client training programme on covering domestic and international Trade products.
● Facilitates the entrenchment of a culture of global thinking, and promotes the sharing of business leads/opportunities within the wider Ecobank Cameroon.
● Establishes and maintains critical relationships with stakeholders in the various local markets, and with stakeholder in the wider Ecobank Cameroon
● Ability to build credibility across all levels within and external to Ecobank via the skilfull application of specialist knowledge and relationship building skill.
● Continually drives and role models a superior client orientated culture within International Trade finance and Services division that aims to exceed client expectations.
● Ensures that supportive, open relationships exist between Account Executives, and relevant stakeholders and service providers within Ecobank Cameroon and CEMAC affiliates
● Gains leads and access to strategically influential stakeholders in large corporate organizations in order to introduce them to the benefits of dealing through Ecobank Cameroon and CEMAC affiliates.
● Be engaged in industry developments and continuously migrate best practices within the region


BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT


• Has a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers, opportunities, challenges, needs, competition and threats inherent in the environments/business sectors within which clients operate.
• Has insight into local and international trends, developments and benchmarks within the financial sector, banking and specifically for International Trade products.
• Has a good understanding of both traditional and non-traditional competitors, their drivers, products, strengths, vulnerabilities, market share/client base and the impact that these factors have on Ecobank’s value proposition to the client base.
• Promote the sharing of business leads/opportunities with other stakeholders within the Ecobank Bank group
• Continuously update and maintain the trade pricing schedule, making use of competitor and client information
• Formulate and review a strategy to pursue clients that have never dealt Trade Finance and Services business with Ecobank.
• Formulate and continuously review a strategy to pursue clients already dealing with other divisions of Ecobank but not Trade, but having Trade business.
• Maintain close contact with all internal stakeholders and leverage off their deals that might have Trade content.
• Formulate and articulate a trade business roadmap for the Region aligned to the Group Trade strategy
• Understand the dynamics of international and regional trade flows within the Region with a view to assess market trends, identify new business opportunities or competitive threats across the region

● Support launch and successful client onboarding on new trade platforms are required
● Ensure Ecobank’s Trade Electronic Banking Platforms meet customer needs in-country.

RISK MANAGEMENT/AUDIT&COMPLIANCE/OPERATIONS


● Responsible for ensuring robust risk management of trade products and loans (including RCSA) in coordination with Trade middle office, Risk management and Group Trade
● Work with Operations and Technology to ensure that all issues relating to the Trade Electronic platform are resolved as swiftly as possible.
● Be the lead on all Operations and Technology projects that have an impact on the Trade Business and solutions

IV. JOB PROFILE


Experience
● At least 7 years of Trade experience , 3 of which must be in market facing/business development function
● Ability to interact and negotiate with the client organization at the global decision-making level;
● Customer focused & results orientated;
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in relevant languages to the accounts
assigned;

● Trade skills
● Good organizational and time management skills are highly desirable;

● Result driven team player;
● Strong networks within the corporate market
● Experience in high level relationship building and maintenance.
Education

● Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field of study.
