As part of the business expansion of one of our clients a leading company in the commerce and retail sector, SAASA B2E is recruiting one (01) dynamic and experienced Tax Supervisor.

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Planning and Strategy:
Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Assist senior management in developing tax planning strategies to mitigate fiscal risk.
- Analyze the tax impact of accounting operations and propose optimization measures.
- Actively participate in tax audits and inspections, and prepare all related documentation.
- Respond to information requests and engage in negotiations with local tax authorities.
- Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure compliance of financial and tax data.
- Prepare statutory tax accounts and regular reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Prepare and review various tax filings within prescribed deadlines.
- Ensure consistency between accounting records and tax declarations.
- Conduct daily tax checks and monitor regulatory developments.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between accounting and tax records.
- Supervise the reconciliation of tax accounts with general ledger entries.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure the accuracy of tax-related entries (VAT, corporate tax, local levies, etc.).
- Train and raise awareness among accounting teams on the tax implications of their operations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or the Head of Tax.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
REQUIRED PROFILE:
Education: Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related fields (Bac +5).
Professional Experience:
Education: Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or related fields (Bac +5).
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in tax compliance, tax reporting, or fiscal audit.
- Previous experience in a retail or distribution company, or in a tax/audit advisory firm, is highly valued.
- Proven ability to manage tax audits and interact with tax authorities.
- Solid understanding of Cameroonian tax laws and familiarity with international tax principles (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, local taxes).
- Proficient in tax reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Sage).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax reconciliation processes.
- High attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in dealing with tax authorities and cross-functional teams
- Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset.
