Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
As a Lead Software Engineer within Sukate & Bezeboh Ltd, you will take a leadership role in shaping the technological landscape of our cutting-edge payments solutions. Operating at the
intersection of innovation and reliability, you will lead a team of skilled engineers in driving the development and evolution of our software architecture. Reporting directly to the Chief
Operating Officer, you will contribute to strategic decision-making and mentorship while actively participating in hands-on coding and system design.

Lead Software Engineer Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Drive the design and development of scalable and reliable financial applications, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, incorporating them into the development process as appropriate.
- Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and adoption of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Undertake recruitment of new team members as per company requirements.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- Minimum of 5yrs experience in web application development in PHP, with a strong understanding of PHP language and frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony, etc)
- Proven experience in a leadership role, leading software development teams in the delivery of complex projects.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable systems.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-based solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- A background working for a Fintech will be a plus but not a prerequisite.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Acquainted with building testable code, unit tests and/or integration tests
- Experienced working with Scrum processes
- Experience of working with Docker, Docker Swarm, Git Workflows
- Proficiency in other front end technologies like HTML, CSS, React Js is a plus
- Experience Linux server administration and cloud computing
- Experience in API integrations, web services and third party libraries
