Position: Commercial and Marketing Director
Location: Douala
Job Summary
Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, the Commercial and Marketing Director is responsible for developing the commercial strategy and managing operations to achieve the sales objectives for the various products of one of our client
Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Activities
  • Develop and implement the commercial and marketing strategy our client.
  • Manage communication flows within the department and with other departments
  • Prepare, manage, and optimize the budgets of the Commercial and Marketing Department
  • Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations (monthly, quarterly, and annual) of the commercial and marketing plan and implement necessary corrective measures
  • Forecast and plan product demand
  • Initiate, guide, and supervise the development and launch plans for new products
  • Develop and implement the media and non-media communication plan for the various brands.
  • Represent the Commercial and Marketing Department at Management Committee meetings
  • Responsible for implementing the commercial and marketing plan to increase market share and market penetration
  • Define and obtain Management Committee approval for the pricing structure, margins to be applied, and general terms of sale
  • Define the roles and responsibilities of Commercial and Marketing Department staff, set objectives for them, and establish a performance evaluation and career development system for commercial staff (training and coaching)
  • Manage customer credit limits in accordance with defined objectives agreed upon with the Finance Department
  • Manage, in liaison with the freight forwarder, the export operations of the client’s products abroad
  • Plan and manage the cycle of follow-up and evaluation meetings for commercial objectives
  • Participate in the selection and recruitment of team members
  • Coordinate the collection and analysis of market information for competitive intelligence
Reporting
  • Daily sales reports
  • Weekly reports on sales, stock, and receivables
  • Monthly activity summary report
  • Progress reports on various projects (marketing)
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Candidate Profile
  • Education: MBA or equivalent Master's degree in Management
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a commercial management role, preferably in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market
  • Required Knowledge: The candidate must have knowledge of project management, corporate finance, and IT management tools
