Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
You will be in charge of:
- Managing StarNews Mobile’s social media presence in Cameroon (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
- Creating, editing, and publishing daily short-form video content
- Growing and engaging our online community
- Collaborating with local creators and influencers
- Repurposing StarNews content into platform-optimized clips to drive engagement and subscriber growth
- Writing engaging captions and social copy tailored to the Cameroonian audience
- Monitoring social media trends and suggesting new content ideas
- Promoting StarNews content and partner shows (e.g., OMT, Campus Challenge)
- Tracking and reporting on weekly social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, CTR)
- Participating in on-the-ground activations and content shoots as needed
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) for a brand or organization
- Strong video editing skills and experience creating short-form content for social platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and/or French)
- Deep understanding of social media trends and best practices
- Ability to work in-person in Douala, Cameroon
- You must be enthusiastic, enjoy working hard and getting things done, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
- Excellent written communication and organizational skills
- Strong leadership.
