JOB PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Administrative Affairs and Security Unit Manager, the Security shift supervisor oversees the daily workflow, schedules and assignments of security personnel, including security guards. Their responsibilities focus on designing strategies, assigning personnel and implementing protocols to ensure the safety of an organisation, its property and the people within it.

KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Carries out his/her duties in accordance with the current directives, instructions and procedures of the company and commercial and legal legislation.
  • Keeps the fixtures, equipment and materials delivered to him/her in a well-maintained and usable condition.
  • Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on the assigned shift;
  • Manage the schedules of permanent security guards, ensure the replacement of missing security guards and follow up requests for additional security guards with the Director of Security and Administrative Affairs;
  • Ensure that established procedures are followed and applicable laws and regulations are implemented; notify superiors of changes as soon as possible;
  • Revises the regulations, procedures, instructions, documents and forms in the Management Systems.
  • Complies with the special instructions of the workplace, submits the issues that need to be revised to the approval of the senior supervisor.
  • Does not allow differences and exceptions to occur in the content of the service provided within the framework of the determined principles.
  • Establishes social relations with the personnel subordinate to him/her, acts within the framework of courtesy and respect towards the personnel, supervises the speech style and behaviour of the personnel. It does not allow behaviours and actions that will demotivate the personnel and reduce their work efficiency. Ensures that they act in accordance with the principles of communication.
  • In the absence of the owner, to represent with tenants, emergency services or any other intervener when necessary;
  • Monitors security guard activities on the premises and trains them to interact properly with visitors, vendors and employees;
  • Carry out regular patrols of all parts of the premises, including activity rooms, common areas, outlets and perimeter areas to spot-check the performance of security guards and other security-related issues;
  • Immediately escalate any security-related issues to his/her manager for appropriate actions
  • Investigate and make appropriate records in the event of an accident
  • On-site monitoring of the entry and exit of people, goods and vehicles
  • Escort unauthorised persons or troublemakers to exit;
  • Maintains an organised, consistent record of attendance.
  • Ensures protection for the facility, equipment and all employees on site.
  • Write and submit safety reports
  • To write reports about the events occurring on the site and present them to the authorised persons;
  • To prevent unregistered entry of personnel, visitors, contractor personnel and vehicles to the factory,
  • Immediately notify the Unit Supervisor of the improvement of the qualifications of security personnel (including Gendarmerie),
  • Directs and manages the Private Security Officers working in the facility. Prepares the Information Forms, prepares the Monthly / Weekly Duty Schedule and scorecard. Makes annual leave planning. Following the approval of the Security and Administrative Affairs Manager, it implements, monitors and controls.
  • All observed malfunctions are immediately reported by their supervisors and reported to the unit supervisor,
  • It will be ensured that the radio used as a means of communication is always ready for use "within the scope of the radio user manual",
  • Beware of suspicious persons, vandalism or dangers
  • Respond to alarms and distress calls
  • Ensure that all security systems such as burglar alarms and CCTV are working properly
  • Receive, direct, distribute, transmit and record any requests that may be made within the framework of normal and extraordinary operations related to fire safety and prevention, electromechanics and maintenance, and follow up with the relevant services;
  • Assist in the operation of the timekeeping system.
  • Support, train, evaluate and direct the work of security officers in co-operation;
  • Ensure that all kinds of equipment (including customer property), clothing and materials in the use of the personnel reporting to him/her are constantly maintained and ready for use.
  • To fulfil other related duties requested by his/her immediate supervisor or required by his/her duties;
  • Carries out its duties within the framework of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).
  • Ensures that the necessary measures are taken to ensure that the planned activities are completed on time in accordance with their purpose.
  • Responsible for all works and transactions carried out by subordinates.
  • Makes suggestions for improvement/development regarding the works under his/her responsibility and carries out related works.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • High school degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience in a security position
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Flexibility and capacity to prioritise new tasks
  • Oral proficiency in French and English, required.
