Description du poste
We are excited to be searching for a proactive and pragmatic Senior Investment Development Manager with an interest to join our team, and we hope it’s you!
Your role.
The Senior Investment Development Manager will be responsible for leading the investment development activities of the Investment & PES (Payment for Environment Services) Hub. This role is pivotal in establishing the Technical Assistance Facility and Seed Capital Facility, supporting the scale up of investments in forest-positive business models.
This role will support the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI) funded program which seeks to catalyse and de-risk private sector investment across agricultural commodity value chains, enabling them to become deforestation-free, low‑carbon, and climate‑resilient, while improving farmer incomes and livelihoods in Cameroon.
By combining targeted technical assistance, catalytic seed capital, and performance-based PES incentives, IDH aims to support local enterprises and farmers to adopt sustainable practices, generate verified environmental outcomes, and build credible financial and impact track records. These, in turn, crowd in commercial finance and long-term private-sector demand for environmental services, reinforcing policy objectives and national climate commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the provision of technical assistance and deployment of seed capital facility, ensuring investees are investment-ready and aligned with project objectives.
Develop and manage strong working relationships with local partners on TA/Seed Capital provision.
Identify, screen, and support potential investees, overseeing investment readiness assessments, business plan development. financial due diligence, and impact formulation.
Grow and pro-actively manage the Business & Investor Network, engaging impact investors, local banks, MFIs, and private sector partners to mobilise co-financing and investment, ensuring a follow-on exit for the Hub’s investees
Establish and operationalise the Hub’s governance framework, including the Operational Manual and Business & Investor Network model.
Work closely with the PES team to align, scope and develop joint propositions.
Deliver on investment mobilisation and matchmaking commitments, securing financing for Hub-supported enterprises and cooperatives.
Provide financial expertise across project implementation, including drafting TORs, managing technical advisory contracts, and overseeing fund flows and financial reporting.
Monitor financial performance, risks, and compliance, ensuring adherence to CAFI social and environmental safeguards, including zero-deforestation commitments.
Track and report on TA, seed capital, and investment KPIs, capturing lessons learned and developing communication and knowledge products to support learning and scale.
Who you are:
As Senior Investment Development Manager at IDH, you are a results-oriented professional with strong expertise in investment process and technical assistance delivery, operating at the intersection of capital mobilisation, enterprise development, and sustainability commitments. You are comfortable working in complex environments where aligning investment objectives with development impact and safeguards is critical.
You bring strong planning and organisational skills to oversee the full TA and investment lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and effective coordination between IIM–Investment Development and local facility management. Your structured approach supports alignment in strategy, governance, and reporting across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
With proven stakeholder management and communication skills, you engage confidently with investors, enterprises, cooperatives, and partners. You are effective in mobilising investor capital while balancing diverse investor requirements with project realities, supporting enterprises to reach investment readiness without compromising zero-deforestation or safeguard commitments.
You proactively identify and manage risks across the TA and investment process, from design and operationalisation through to governance of the TA/Seed Facility. Through a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach, you ensure momentum, accountability, and impact across both financial and development objectives.
What you bring:
Working and thinking at Master’s degree level.
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience across the investment process, including opportunity origination, investment preparation, transaction structuring, due diligence, etc

A strong network of financiers across MFIs, Banks, Impact Investors, but also private companies that you can leverage in your work.
