We are hiring a Terminal Manager for our client, a leading privately-owned petroleum depot and a dominant player in the storage and supply of petroleum products in West Africa.

Job Purpose :

To assist Managing Director in managing resources (installations and people) for providing safe, cost effective and efficient terminal operations (receipts, storage & handling, loading & deliveries, stocks accounting) 

To ensure operations and service levels are consistently compliant with Safety, Health and Environment as well as measurement and products control standards.

Key Accountabilities :

• Oversees the activities of the operations, stocks accounting and maintenance sections,
• Responsible for the effective implementation of the process safety management system as well as measurement and products control policy,
• Ensure effective implementation of safe work practices for all terminal operations and maintenance/engineering activities,
• Ensure terminal operations and maintenance activities are compliant with Local and International terminal Operating Standards,
• Develop emergency response plans to ensure business continuity,
• Conduct periodic assessment of reliability of the Terminal,
• Coordinates investigations into all incidents and near misses and address relevant issues,
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of capital and expense plans for the terminal,

• A Master of Science Degree or higher in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study,
• Five (5) to seven (7) years relevant working experience in a similar role/environment of which three (3) of such must be in a managerial role,
• Must be a member of a professional qualification body e.g., GhIE or its equivalent.
