CAMALCO CAMEROON S.A. is a fast-growing mining company is looking for talented and motivated professionals to join his team on the following positions :Legal Counsel
Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
- Advise the CEO on strategic and operational legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate key contracts (EPC, mining, transport, community, etc.).
- Monitor and interpret laws in mining, business, labor, environmental, tax, and procurement.
- Handle corporate legal secretariat and governance obligations.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and permitting requirements.
- Manage litigation and disputes in coordination with external law firms.
- Support internal teams with legal guidance on operational issues.
- Develop internal policies for legal risk and contract governance.
- Raise legal awareness among managers and staff.
- Represent the company before administrative, regulatory, and judicial bodies.
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Business Law, Mining Law, Public Law, or International Law.
- 12-15 years of experience acquired in a renowned law firm or in a similar in-house position within an industrial company.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, mining law, labor law, fiscal law, corporate law, litigation, infrastructure law, environmental law and other relevant laws.
- Proven ability to negotiate, secure, and structure complex agreements.
- Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
