JOB TITLE: An Accountant based in Douala.

Missions / Responsabilités / Activités
Main Missions
- Ensure the maintenance, monitoring and reliability of accounting operations in accordance with accounting, tax and regulatory standards in order to guarantee the production of accurate financial statements and compliance with legal and internal obligations.
Main activities
- Participate in bookkeeping: from recording events to producing company, tax and IFRS accounts
- Analyse and justify the various accounts
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and national and international accounting rules
- Participate in closing procedures and ensure their control
- Record accounting transactions daily
Compétences / Exigences / Qualités
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting and financial operations management
- Good knowledge of general and cost accounting
- Good knowledge of accounting and regulatory standards
- Good knowledge of tax and regulatory rules in the insurance sector
- Good financial analysis and reporting skills
Special requirements
- Knowledge of the life insurance sector is an asset
- Good knowledge of OHADA accounting standards and CIMA standards
- Good knowledge of taxation
- Bilingual
Prerequisite
- Education: 2/3 years' higher education in accounting, finance, management control
- 2/3 years' experience in a similar position
