ABOUT THE ROLE
As an AWS Cloud Engineer within the Tech Team, your role will be to support the building of a world-class technology platform to enable us to meet our goal of connecting talent to opportunities at scale. You will help design, build, automate and operate our platforms and processes and developer tooling to ensure we are continuously delivering, monitoring and improving our products and services. 
We value innovation and autonomy, which means you will be instrumental in influencing the roadmap by researching, experimenting, and deriving solutions to overcome similar challenges.
Specifically, your main areas of focus will be to:-

• Monitoring, observability, and instrumentation
• Infrastructure provisioning, automated (AWS CDK, Cloudformation)
• CI/CD tooling and build processes (Node.js, Typescript)
• Release automation
• Infrastructure and application security
• Supporting development teams with best practices

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with building out scalable and automated Cloud platforms on AWS
• Experience in infrastructure automation tools (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform/Ansible/Puppet)
• Containerisation technology and various orchestration platforms e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, ECS
• Experience with languages such as Javascript, Typescript, Python, etc
• You’re a proponent of best practices and have a great knowledge of tools that help enforce them
• You’re a strong communicator and love collaborating with other teams
• You’re a self-starter and are able to work autonomously to identify and solve problems
• Solid understanding of monitoring, auto-scaling, performance tuning, troubleshooting and disaster recovery best practices
• Proficiency with source control, CI/CD, and testing pipelines
• Solid experience deploying full stack solutions to cloud infrastructure
• Solid experience implementing Service Reliability processes
